I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Australian Institute of Marine Science and The UWA Oceans Institute in Perth, Western Australia.
I have a background in population genetics and have worked on a range of marine organisms from sponges to fish. My current research combines genomic and transcriptomic tools with physiological and ecological data to better understand how marine populations will respond to rapid environmental change. This includes projects related to larval dispersal and gene flow, phenotypic variation and local adaptation, rates of recovery, and ecosystem monitoring. The ultimate goal of my research is to help inform management on the quest to conserve our precious marine ecosystems.
